Delta Rockwell 14" Bandsaw Restoration
Another item I picked up this last summer was a late 50's or early 60's Delta
Rockwell Bandsaw. This one had been stored for a few years, and wasn't in all
that bad of shape, just some surface rust. It needed alot of cleaning though. I
ended up using a large storage tote for an electrolytic cleaning bath. I
decided it was alot easier to clean that way rather than spend hours scrubbing
rust off. I disassembled the entire frame and every associated part. After the
de-rusting was complete, I painted each part the favorite Delta gray. Took alot
of work, but it's now a fully functional and very useful tool for my shop. I'll
post some more pictures later with the table, wheel covers, belt guard cover,
and the blade in place.

PowrKraft Lathe Restoration
Last spring I attended a local estate auction, and among other things, I picked
up this old PowrKraft (yeah, that's spelled right) Lathe. Nice sized one too.
If I recall, the bed is a full 38 inches. It was definitely in rough shape.
Lots of rust, and bolted to a stand that looked like Dr. Frankenstein cooked it
up in his lab. The stand went in the trash, and after that, I started working
on getting the lathe back into a respectable looking state.
